We know the 2023 NEC and Arizona-specific amendments cold. Every installation passes inspection the first time — no return trips, no reinspection fees.
Electrical problems don't wait for Monday. We offer same-day service on most jobs, and 24/7 emergency response for situations that can't wait.
You get a written estimate before we start. No hourly surprises, no "we found more problems" upsells. The price we quote is the price you pay.
We pull permits on every qualifying job. Period. It protects your homeowner's insurance, your resale value, and your family's safety.
"Spark upgraded our panel from 100A to 200A and installed two EV chargers. They pulled the permit, scheduled the inspection, and had everything done in one day. Exactly what you want from a licensed electrician."
"Called at 9pm for a tripped breaker that wouldn't reset. They had someone out within 90 minutes. Turned out to be a failing breaker in our panel — they replaced it on the spot. Will not use anyone else."
"We hired Spark for a full commercial TI — new 3-phase service, lighting throughout, exit/emergency systems. They coordinated with our GC seamlessly and finished two days ahead of schedule. A+ contractor."

Every service listed below is performed by licensed electricians, pulled with proper permits, and inspected by the city. No exceptions.
The average Phoenix home built before 2000 has a 100-amp panel — which is undersized for modern loads. Adding an EV charger, a hot tub, or even a new HVAC system can push an old panel to its limits. We upgrade panels to 200A and beyond, with proper load calculations and APS/SRP coordination.
All panel work includes a city permit, rough-in inspection, and final inspection sign-off. Your homeowner's insurance requires permitted work — we handle all of it.
Typical range: $1,800 – $4,200 depending on service size, meter location, and existing wiring condition. Written estimate provided before work begins.
Knob-and-tube wiring, aluminum wiring, and old cloth-sheathed wiring are fire hazards — and most insurers will not cover a home with these systems. We specialize in systematic rewires that modernize your home's electrical while minimizing drywall damage.
Our rewire process uses low-impact fishing techniques and patch repair coordination. We don't just pull wire — we leave your home clean.
Typical range: $8,000 – $25,000+ depending on home size and existing conditions.
Level 2 EV charger installation adds a dedicated 240V/50A circuit from your panel to your garage, giving you 25–40 miles of range per hour of charging. We're certified installers for Tesla Wall Connector, ChargePoint Home Flex, Grizzl-E, and Emporia.
We pull the permit, coordinate the inspection, and register your charger for any applicable APS/SRP rebates. Arizona utility rebates can offset $200–$500 of installation cost.
Typical range: $650 – $1,400 installed with permit. Additional cost if panel upgrade is needed.
From recessed lighting retrofits to full outdoor landscape systems, we handle all residential lighting work. Our team runs new circuits where needed, patches drywall cleanly, and leaves your home looking better than we found it.
Recessed lights from $85/can installed. Ceiling fans from $150 installed. Written estimate for larger projects.
Two-prong ungrounded outlets, missing GFCI protection in wet areas, and old push-wire switches are code violations that your insurance company takes seriously. We update your outlets systematically — or spot-replace as needed.
GFCI outlet from $75 installed. Call for whole-home pricing.
Arizona requires hardwired, interconnected smoke detectors in all new construction and major renovation. We install compliant systems throughout your home — when one goes off, they all go off.
Smoke detector systems starting at $95/unit installed (hardwired).

Heavy equipment, commercial HVAC, and manufacturing processes require 3-phase electrical service. We size and install 3-phase services from 120/208V through 277/480V, including APS/SRP coordination for new service entrances.
LED retrofits pay for themselves. We replace fluorescent fixtures with high-efficiency LEDs, add occupancy controls, and implement daylight harvesting — reducing your lighting energy use by 40–70%. APS commercial rebates available.
Mission-critical electrical requires redundancy, precision, and experience. We design and install dedicated circuits, UPS integration points, PDU feeds, and generator tie-ins for data center environments.
IBC and NFPA 101 require compliant emergency and exit lighting in all commercial occupancies. We design, install, and test systems to code — and provide documentation for your Certificate of Occupancy.
Aging switchgear and outdated distribution panels are liability items — for safety, insurance, and operations. We replace and upgrade commercial distribution equipment from Square D, Eaton, ABB, and Siemens.
Our commercial electricians have experience in the codes, inspection requirements, and operational constraints specific to each industry.

Issued by the Arizona Registrar of Contractors. Classification C-11 covers all residential and commercial electrical work in Arizona. This license is renewed every two years and requires continuing education to maintain.
ROC #123456$1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate general liability coverage through Travelers Insurance. Certificates of insurance available upon request for all commercial projects. We carry an additional umbrella policy for projects over $500K.
Policy Active 2024All Spark Electrical employees are covered under a $500,000 workers' compensation policy. If anyone is injured on your property while working for us, you are not liable. We never use unlicensed day laborers or uninsured subcontractors.
SCF Arizona PolicyThe Arizona ROC requires a $25,000 bond for all C-11 licensed contractors. This bond protects you if a contractor fails to complete work or causes property damage and refuses to make it right. Bonded through Hartford Insurance.
Bond #AZ-2024-77441We encourage every homeowner and business owner to verify contractor licenses before hiring. Arizona makes this easy through the ROC's public license lookup tool. Here's how:
Arizona requires all licensed electrical contractors to complete 8 hours of continuing education annually to maintain their license. Our master electrician and all licensed journeymen complete this requirement every year — including code update training when the NEC is revised.
We also invest in voluntary training: our team has completed OSHA 10, Arc Flash Safety (NFPA 70E), and EV Charger Installation certification through EVITP (Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program).
We pull permits on every qualifying job. This is non-negotiable — not because we're required to offer it as an option, but because unpermitted electrical work creates real risks for property owners:
Insurance: Most homeowner's insurance policies specifically exclude damage caused by unpermitted electrical work. If an unlicensed electrician's work causes a fire, your claim may be denied entirely.
Resale: When you sell your home, the buyer's inspector will flag unpermitted panel work. You'll either need to pull a permit retroactively (expensive and complicated) or disclose it and reduce your sale price.
Safety: Permitted work is inspected by a city electrical inspector who has no financial interest in approving it. This independent check catches mistakes before your walls close up.
According to the Arizona ROC, more than 30% of contractor complaints filed in Arizona involve unlicensed contractors. Common outcomes reported by homeowners who hired unlicensed electricians:
